Peras Giuntas/ Peer Gynt

Ši spalva man pasirodė "gyvesnė" nei grynai juoda) ir nepilno vieno balto. Raštas - iš Rauma LVS-5, Selbustrikk, 9 vaikiškų pirštinių modelis, megztas iš storesnių siūlų, tad tiks suaugusiai rankai. Tiesa, keletu eilių patrumpinau viršuje. Dovanos gavėjas galės įvertinti jau rytoj :)
These are mittens with one dancy title :) Title is like this because I knit it (as a gift) while working with H.Ibsen's Peer Gynt and in additionl to that (totally by chance) I knit it with the Norwegian yarn called Peer Gynt. I used ca 1.5 skein of black (or actually dark grey, it looked more "alive" than pure black) and 2/3 of the white skein. The pattern is taken from Rauma LVS-5, Selbustrikk, model 9 (Child's mitten. I used thicker yarn, so it fits perfectly for grown up hand). I shourtened it with a couple of rows on the top. The receiver of the gift can evaluate it already tomorrow :)

Švelnus lengvumas/ soft lightness

Žalia spalva tikrai nėra dominuojanti mano garderobe, bet jau seniai seniai pajutau, kad reikia. Tiksliau, atėjo laikas. Nuo to pajutimo praėjo geri pora metų - mat pradžioje reikėjo pamedituoti siūlų tema, po to gerokai ilgiau - modelio tema.
Green coloud is definetely not dominating in my wardrobe, but already a long time ago got a feeling, that I really need/want something in green. Or maybe the right time has come? It's already over 2 years since I first got that feeling. At first I spent some time meditating what kind of yarn I should use, then way more time was spent on search for model. Once I've decided what kind of sweater do I want to knit, it was only about knitting it, which also has taken a good share of time because: 1. Priority was scarves (last 2 posts). I thought sweater can wait while maybe we shouldn't delay wedding anymore after being together for 10 years. 2. Summer... It was just too warm to knit with yarn consisting of Angora! 3. Fine yarn (50 g ca 260 m). Of course its much faster to knit with thicker yarn, but it starts to be pretty obvious that I'm more into fine yarn. Wearing sweater knit with fine yarn you still can get a really warm sweater, which is also very light (in my case its approximately 230 g. This is very conveniant when you travel), I don't feel like I'm an onion or a doll (this Russian doll called Matrioshka, where inside a doll you find a doll, inside of which you find a next doll and so on). For sure chunky sweaters have its charm, but I prefer them in the winter. Yarn - Fantastik by Midara (50 g 260 m, 50% angora, 50 % acryl. I would not call it fantastic, but I can't complain too much except that its shedding. Hopefully that will stop after a while.) Model I developed myself by taking inspiration from this model and then letting my fantasy take over.

Karališka mėlyna/ Royal Blue

Mėlyna visada buvo mano spalva. Tiesiog mano. Gal dėl to neišsiverčiau be jos ir savo per savo šventę - vestuves. Balta ir mėlyna - bene tobula... Drops Lace - švelnus, kaip pūkas (tikrai tikrai jie mielai įsikurs ant virbalų vėl ir vėl), raštas - ažūrinis J.Flood Rock Island. Viskas buvo puiku :)
Blue was always my colour. Just like that. Maybe that's why I chose to have it on my big day - wedding. White and blue makes it perfect... Yarn is Drops Lace , soft as fluff, pattern by J.Flood Rock Island. Everything was perfect :)

O ką, jeigu... what if...

This time - summerish soft shawl. It was knitted for a special occation, for myself. Luxurious, cause it's alpaca and silk blend. Soft, tender to skin, with a nice drape, warm, but also cool. That was exactly what I wanted just in case the day would be a bit cooler. The day was warm (I sure had another shawl for that, next time I'll post about that ;), but in the evening I changed to this one :)

Ech, neatsispyriau.../ Temptation

Nors siūlų kiekį namuose lyg ir esu apsisprendusi mažinti, neatsispyriau... Ne kasdien pasitaiko Rowan su 50% nuolaida! Net modelį mintyse jau turiu, jei priartėjus mezgimo laikui nepasikeis norai :) Iš mažesniojo kiekio bus pirštinės, iš raudonų siūlų bus šiltas megztinis. Nekantrauju :)
Although I have decided to reduce amount of stash, this time I couldn't resist... Not every day you find Rowan with 50% discount. I even have a model in mind, it can sure change till I really start knitting. Anyway, from the colorful yarn I will knit mittens, the red will turn into a warm sweater. I already look forward to that :)
