Vasaros puokštė / Summer bouquet

...kai Velykų rytą visi draugiškai dažėme margučius, aš išsitraukiau savo Noriukus ir nusprendžiau, kad marginsiu megztinį. Iš tų pačių Noriukų, kuriais taip džiaugiausi. Mezgiau su pertraukomis, vis ką nors tarpuose pamezginėdama, tad ilgai. O be to ką čia ir slėpti - siūlas mikroninis (50 g 420 m), megztinis ilgokas ir ilgom rankovėm. Turėjau 5 matkelius, rūpinausi ar pakaks ir kaip čia reikės margint, kad nesugadint visko, nes vienos spalvos buvo 3 matkeliai, kiti 2 skirtingi. Ir ką gi - sumezgiau beveik lygiai 3 matkelius, tad visas megztinis tesveria apie 145 g, ilgis apie 1240 m viso... Lengvutis, švelnutis, dryžiukas vasarinis tįsaliukas :) Ne tik dėl plonumo, bet ir spalviškai man jis tikra vasaros žiedų, kvapų, uogų puokštė.


While others were coloring eggs on Easter morning (Lithuanian tradition), I picked up my Noro and decided that I will "color" a sweater instead. Same Noro that was so happy about couple of months ago. It took me a long time to knit it, cause I knit small projects in between. And ok, there is nothing to be ashamed of, the yarn is rather fine (50 g 420 m), my sweater is long and with long sleeves. I had 5 skeins of yarn, 3 of the same color and 2 different. I was rather concerned weather if that will be enough, how should I add the different colors without destroying it. Well, what can I say, I knit almost exactly 3 skeins, so the total of a sweater is around 145 g and length is round 1240 m all in total.. So light, so soft, so stripy. Not only because its so light, but also because of the colors its a real summer bouquet of flowers, berries and smells.

Viduvasaris / Midsummer

Sunku tuo patikėti, bet iš tiesų - viduvasaris... Smagu, nes dar liko daug vasaros, bet tuo pačiu ir trupučiuką liūdna, nes dienos ims vėlei trumpėti... Na bet nėr ko liūdėti be laiko. Geriau pasidžiaugti žiedais ir vasaros teikiamais malonumais :)


It's hard to believe, but its already midsummer. It a great feeling to know that there is still a lot of summer left, but at the same time from this point days are gonna get shorter... Well, no need to get sad, right? Lets enjoy some flowers and other pleasures of summer :)

Rožės ir ledai

Praeita savaitė sugrąžino mane atgal į darbinę atmosferą. Greitai ir efektyviai :) Du projektai, prasidedantys tuo pat metu, garantuoja "šaltą dušą". Gal taip ir geriau. Tik vienintelio dalykėlio trūksta - laiko mezgimui. Melsvai alyvinis "lengvumas" jau beveik baigtas, liko tik susiūti rankoves ir apsispręsti dėl kaklo. Kriauklelinė suknelė taip pat kantriai laukia savo eilės. Nuoširdžiai tikiuosi, kad dar pavyks ją šiemet bent kartą pranešioti :)

Beje, padariau džiuginantį atradimą - namuose gaminti ledai. Pasirodo, viskas paprasčiau, nei atrodo. O skonis tikrai nenuvylė :) Netyčia radau puikų receptą kokono bloge. Paprasta, skanu ir greita. Siūlau išbandyti.

Roses and ice cream

Last week brought me back to working atmosphere. Fast and efficent :) Two projects, starting at the same time, guarantee a "cold shower" :) Maybe it's even better that way. The only time I miss is time for knitting. My "blue - purlpe lightness" (pullover) is almost finished, its only sleeves that need to be sewn and I have to decided how to make the neck. The "shell" dress is waiting its turn. I sinserely hope I will try it out this season :)
By the way, I made a discovery last week. It's home made ice cream. Yummy! It turns out its not as difficult as I thought it was. The taste was really great! I found a reciepy accidently on kokonas blog. Simple, fast and tasty. Recommend :)

Sanpaulijos

Beje - metas pasigirti gėlynėliais, palangės tiesiog "lūžta" :D Mano aistra - veislinės sanpaulijos. Paskutiniai metai joms buvo nelengvi - pradėjau dirbti darbe, atsirado Maja, išsireikalaujanti nemažai dėmesio ir laiko, tad išgyveno stipriausios... Ir nepavargdamos puošia palanges :)

African Violets

By the way, its time to show my flowers, which have completely taken over all the space around the window. African violets is my old passion. Last year hasn't been easy for them. I started working, got a wonderful golden retriever Maja, which takes quite a lot of my attention and time. This means only the "most willing to live" violets survived extream conditions and make my windows beautidul :) Here are some:






Gražu? Man taip pat. O šios dvi ieško naujų namų - iš lapukų pasidaugino taip gausiai, kad pas mane jau sunkiai telpa...

You like it? I do. The two next is searching for new home. I got leaves more than a year ago and it has produced so many "babies" I don't have space enough for all... :)
