Balta balta, kur dairais / Just white

Nors kai fotografavau, dar nebuvo "balta balta", bet matyt tai buvo pranašiška :)
Ši skara turi savo istoriją, kuri gan ilga. Siūlus įsigijau prieš kokius 4 metus Norvegijoje, numezgiau gal pernai, išblokavau šią vasarą, o nufotografavau prieš gerą savaitę, kai lankiausi Kuršių Nerijoje. Ir tai tikrai ne todėl, kad "nelipo" skara ar siūlai! Lipo, dar ir kaip :) "Kregždučių" skara jau antra, prieš dar daugiau metų mezgiau mažą jos variantą iš kojininių siūlų, bet gal per tankiai sumezgiau, tad lyg ir neatsiskleidė jos visas grožis ir norėjosi pakartoti. Galiausiai taip ir padariau :)

Skara ypatingo švelnumo, minkštumo. Siūlai - angoros ir merino vilnos mišinys. Paskuriniu metu tokių nelabai gražių dalykų girdėti apie angoros vilną (tiksliau apie angros triušių laikymo ir vilnos ėmimo sąlygas Kinijoje). Siūlų tiekėjai užtikrina, kad šie angoros triušiukai gyvena laimingą triušiukų gyvenimą Skandinavijoje ( yra tai patvirtinantys sertifikatai), tad aš ramia sąžine džiaugiuosi šiluma :)



Although when I was taking the pictures it was not that white outside yet, perhaps it called the winter to come sooner :) This shawl has a pretty long story. I got the yarn around 4 years ago in Norway, knit it maybe a year ago, finally blocked it this summer, took pictures a little over a week ago when I was on short vacation on Lithuanian coastline. And I can assure it was not because I did not like the pattern or the yarn. I did indeed! :) The swallowtail shawl I already knit once before. There I used sock yarn and maybe knit it too tight, so the pattern lost it's lightness. Anyway, I thought the pattern was beautiful and deserved one more try.

The shawl is very tender and soft. The yarn is a mix of Angora and Merino wool. The last period now and then there appear messages about Angora rabbit's living conditions and how the whole process with working the wool. This yarn is sold in Scandinavia and the distributors assure they use Angora rabbits' wool that are bread in Scandinavia and have better living and handling conditions. So I hope rabbits are having a nice time and so am I, enjoying the warmth :)

Dar kojinių/ More socks

Matyt apėmė kojinių manija. Nedidelis ir naudingas mezginys, kuris tikrai negulės kandis gundydamas nei virbalų "stadijoje", nei baigtas, nes be kojinių neapsieina niekas, o priklausomai nuo žiemos, atitinkamas ir kiekis. Tik vat man vis taip gaunasi, kad mezgu mezgu, o tų kojinių vis nedaugyn. Dovanju. Matyt, kolekcijos taip ir neturėsiu :) Šios irgi jau padovanotos, nors ilgokai laukė tinkamo momento :)

It seems like I've turned into some sock maniac. It is a small and useful knit that will surely not be left for moths, neither while on the needles or when finished, because no one can survive without socks in a cold climate. It somehow turns out that I knit them, but it doesn't become more of them. I give them away. It seems like I will never present a full collection of socks knit by me :) These are also given as a gift, although the waited quite for a while for the right moment :)

Deja, nebeatsimenu, kurie būtent siūlai, nes pirkau senokai, o etiketę pamečiau, bet tai tikrai tradiciniai kojininiai vilnos/nailono siūlai, pirkti MZ.
Unfortunately I can't remember which yarn it was since I bought it a while ago and lost the information. But this is traditional sock yarn with 75% wool and 25% nylon that I bought at MZ

Sekmadienio prabanga/ Sunday luxury

Sekmadienį gera truputį patingėti. Nes tokia prabanga įmanoma nedažnai. O kai dar patingėjimas dera su Schoppel Wolle Ombre 1962 siūlais ir minimalistinių kojinių mezgimu leidžiant popietę terasoje ant tokios malonios saulutės, kaip ir nieko netrūksta :)

It is nice to be a bit lazy on Sunday. Because such a luxury is affordable not that often. Especially when that luxury is combined with an excited skein of Schoppel Wolle Ombre 1962 and a minimalistic sock pattern. It is great to spend an autumn afternoon on a warm terrace, nothing seems to be missing :)

Apie roges vasarą/ Preparing sledges

Sakoma, roges ruošk vasarą. Tai ir ruošiu :) Mezgu megztinį, o kai kur nors keliaujame mašina (pagaliau ne tik aš vairuojanti!!!!!), vietoj 4 kamuoliukų pasiimu vieną, ir darbo pakanka. Ir gal nors kartą žiemai būsiu pasiruošus, nors ir sunku patikėti, kad žiema egzistuoja, kai už dabar +27 C :)

We have a saying in Lithuanian "prepare your sledges in the summer". So I try :) At the moment I'm knitting a pullover, but when we travel by car (yahooo!!! finally I'm not the only driver in our family!!!!!! ), it's a lot more convenient with a smaller project. It doesn't take space, but makes enough work. And maybe for once I will be prepared for the winter, even at the moment it's +27 C and it is hard to believe winter exist :)

Jūros puta/ Sea foam

...be didelių įžangų ir pasiteisinimų dėl pusantrų metų tylos tiesiog norėčiau parodyti paskutinį baigtą mezginį - skarą. Pirmą kartą mezgiau iš lino, kas be ko, įsigyto MZ. Varvinau varvinau seilę į begalę spavų ir susikaupiau. Mezgiau dovanų. Ir pirkdama dar juokavau, kad jei graži pavyks, bus gaila dovanoti. Gavosi graži, bet gaila nebuvo, nes lino dar liko, ir tikrai žinau, kad megsiu iš jo ir vėl :) ...no long boring introductions or excuses for 1.5 year silence. I'd rather like to show my last finished knit - a shawl/wrap. It was the first time I knit from flax, of course bought at MZ. I was watching all the pretty colours for years and finally I could feel it was "the right time". This was a gift knit. I was joking while in process that if it turns out nice I will want to keep it instead of giving away. But I was happy to give it away knowing that there is enough linen in the shop and I'm sure I will knit from it again.
